World Space Week 2021

This week (4 – 10  October, 2021) is World Space Week, where we celebrate science and technology and their contribution to the betterment of human life here on Earth!
The theme this year is “Women in Space”.

As a part of the many activities slated for the World Space Week, the Centre for Basic Space Science, Nsukka Nigeria in partnership with her local and international collaborators (Department of Physics COOU, Anambra State, Nigeria; West African Regional Office of Astronomy for Development, Nigeria and the International Astronomical Union – Office of Astronomy for Development, Cape Town, South Africa) is organizing the NAIJABUS Program at the Holy Child Convent, Amichi in Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria.
The NAIJABUS is an ASTROBUS Program aimed at sensitizing and inspiring the youths (students) particularly the girls to embrace Space Science in all their initiatives.
Please join us via our Webpage and other Social Media Handles to learn more about NAIJABUS Initiative as well as other programmes/activities and how we are working to stimulate more participation for women/girls in Space Science as well as Science and Technology in general.
